3rd Herd Films is the collective, creative, collaboration offspring between Producer/Screenwriter Eric Bean, Producer/Screenwriter Terri Emerson & Actor/Producer Lucius Baston.

It is 3rd Herd’s Mission to bring quality filmmaking to the Tampa Bay area. In our endeavor to do so, we have partnered with two of Tampa Bay’s fastest growing production companies, Vanishing Point Films and Bobaloo Films.

About Us

Actor/Producer Lucius Baston is making incredible strides in both TV and Film right now. Baston rocks as Deshaun “Midget” Hackett in Bad Lieutenant: Port of call New Orleans, starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes.He plays Leroy Williams in the episode “Payneful Resolutions”, a season finale of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne.”Plus, Baston is Shelton in the Lifetime Movie Networks “The Wronged Man”, starring Julia Ormond, which first aired January 17, 2010.Lucius Baston, as seen on the syndicated morning show “Daytime” with Cyndi Edwards, Dave Nemeth and Lindsay MacDonald, is a perfect example of how-to achieve great success. His dedication and discipline can inspire the most unmoved of us into action. In 2011, Lucius is on the fast track to stardom! Look for him in the upcoming feature film "Cassadaga" as Officer Bill Hall, kicking off the second season of HBO's TREME, hamming it up with Larry the Cable Guy in Tooth Fairy 2 as Ernie, and making his ABC Family debut in "Teen Spirit" as Vice Principal Richardson. Eric Bean is a self taught screenwriter, studying the great teachers of our time like Dave Trottier, Michael Hauge and Pilar Alessandra. He has been writing for film and television for the past eight years. During that time he has written two original scripts, co-written two adaptations, two teleplays (one of which has been filmed in St. Petersberg, Fl), five feature film scripts and is co-producing a web series.In his spare time he helps other writers learn screenwriting and moderates a screenwriters group in Safety Harbor.
Terri Emerson is a graduate of the University of South Florida with an undergraduate in Mass Communications and a Masters in Education.She has studied screenwriting for over ten years and uses her talents when writing children's stories, shorts and feature films.Not one to shy away from controversy, Terri wrote a short film about child substance abuse called Bryden's "Pharm" which is in post preduction.She is currently developing another family feature entitled Jack's Giant which is sure to capture your heart.

WBMT is in the business of acquiring literary properties (screenplays, teleplays, novels, and graphic comic novels) for exclusive representation. The agency has strong connections inside the film and publishing industries and negotiated its first sale shortly after forming in March 2009. In its first 3 months of operation, the agency garnered interest from CBS (Television and Film), Astrakan Films, Brad Pitt's Plan B, Trancas, CAA, Paradigm, William Morris Endeavour, Dreamscape Films, Mean Time Productions, Levine Management and the Cartoon Network (Adult Swim Division).The agency continues to attract interest, most recently from Spike TV, Warner Bros. (Hollywood Gang and The Wolper Organization) Mechaniks, Carnival Films (UK) and Catsnake (UK). The agency continues to work diligently on behalf of our represented clients. Whitt Brantley was a professional actor before becoming a literary agent and film producer. In 2007, he signed with Dreamscape Films, LLC. for the lead role of "Alan" in the new adventure series entitled THE INTERIOR. He has twenty-seven years of experience acting in motion pictures and on television and has performed in over 72 productions for the professional stage in America and Europe. In 1987, at the age of 22, he was selected to attend the National Theatre of Great Britain's Summer Acting Programme. He has worked onscreen opposite actors including Powers Booth, Terrence Howard, Jeffrey Wright, Patrick Swayze, Lucas Black and Rebecca DeMornay. Film director Tony Richardson gave Whitt his first role in the academy award winning Jessica Lange film Blue Sky. Since then, he has appeared in motion pictures and on television in principal and supporting roles for Paramount, Universal, HBO, CBS, ABC, Walt Disney, and the USA Network. In the mid-1990's, Whitt was invited to perform at Shakespeare's Globe in London, England. He has also performed in thirty-three regional, national and international commercials for such clients as McDonalds and Swiss Bank, Switzerland. He is a published author and composer. Whitt Brantley formed WBMT: A Literary, Film and Television Agency in March, 2009.
Based out of beautiful Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, Vanishing Point Films has been producing creative and commercial projects for more than six years in the Bay area and beyond. Their work has recevied numerous awards and has enjoyed exposure all over the world. Whatever the project, the Vanishing Point team will deliver a video guaranteed to stand out from the pack. Whether it's a computer based training video for the U.S. Army or a music video for a Grammy award-winning artist, we've done it.
Bobaloo Films is the brainchild of visionary director and producer Kurt deVries. Since joining forces with Directory of Photography Daniel Trout ; Bobaloo Films has been producing some of the most compelling music videos, commercials and short films in Tampa Bay. Bobaloo Films has been shooting projects in Tampa Bay since 2007 including the award winning short "Square One" and entries in Project 168, Gasparilla, Sunscreen and more. Their unique voice comes from the conviction that a good story makes a great film. Since teaming up with Daniel in 2009 the group has produced numerous music videos and short films. Some of these projects are in post production and have not yet been released so keep an eye out. 2011 promises to be a breakout year for these guys.They have a unique voice in the film market by believing that faith-based films can be cutting edge and push the envelope. Faith-based films can have an intense storyline, action and suspense. At Bobaloo Films our mission is to produce films that make our audience think, laugh, jump and scream. Our desire is to make a difference in the motion picture industry.

Screenwriters of Tomorrow

Screenwriters of Tomorrow (email here) is the premiere writers group in the Tampa Bay area. Our goal is provide continuing education and quality feedback to all of our writers, whether they are just beginning or well seasoned. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, they just need to know how to put it on the page. That's where we come in.Our group members range from college students to writing professionals and everywhere in between. We meet the 4th Saturday of every month at the Safety Harbor Library from 12pm to 4pm.
